Merry & Bright

Merry Christmas!

It’s been a busy few weeks. I finished finals on December 14th and have been mostly working the past week at the alterations shop. My finals went well and overall I really enjoyed my classes of Colonial American Lit, Business Writing, Professional Writing Cultures, Environmental Science, and Philosophy of Logic. I also loved living in a house with my four roommates Rachel, Lauren, Mary, and Alexis — I’ll really miss them next semester when I’m abroad (only 2 more weeks!).

I didn’t post last Monday because I took a few days to go to New York City with Peyton and my grandparents in order to visit my uncle Thad. I visited my friend Diego there a year and a half ago, but Peyton and my grandparents had never been, so it was fun to be there with them this time.

The trip was a whirlwind! We packed in a lot over less than three days. We walked the Brooklyn Bridge, stood in Times Square, saw the “Rockettes Christmas Spectacular”, shopped around Union Square Park, and walked the High Line, among many other things. A much different trip than the casual one I took in June of 2016 with my friends, but I’m glad to have the quintessential “Christmas in New York” experience now. Here are some photos:

So today I’m spending Christmas in Fort Thomas with Peyton, Kai, my parents, and Theo (our cat). The last couple days have been filled with Christmas music, shopping, and Love Actually. Lazy days at home in my pjs with my fam are the best days — especially a rare white Christmas like this one.
